February 28, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
So why is my yorkie always so excited to use my pee pads? There are a few different reasons I will share with you. I strongly believe that when a dog does something right you must reward them. Whether it be a treat or love. When potty training my dog I always give here a treat after each use on the puppy pads. When I would leave the house for a few hours she would wait for me to get home. The reason??? She wanted that treat after I watched her go potty. Always remember to be consistent in your training.
Make sure when using housebreaking pads that you change them regularly. If they build up to much potty mess, the dog will want to go other places. My yorkie will wait for me to change them and immediately run over and potty on them right after. Then she patient waits for her reward. In the beginning make sure you regularly take your dog to there potty area.

How to Choose the Right Affiliate Marketing Program
February 28, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
Joining appropriate affiliate programs and promoting them to your visitors can provide a nice boost in your income while adding value to your readers. Joining an affiliate marketing program is quite simple indeed. All you have to do is apply for one and you will get the approval.
Online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates. Many affiliate programs pay up to 75% commission. Online advertising inventory comes in many different forms. This inventory can be found on websites, in RSS feeds, on blogs, in instant messaging applications, in adware, in e-mails, and on other sources.
Online and offline web promotion / marketing conferences and seminars are places where serious affiliates congregate, especially the paid variety (and expensive ones). Nothing can replace the advantage of having a one-on-one interaction and the ability to choose from good affiliates.
Companies have come to realize the value of their affiliates, and most compensate them rather well. Take for instance, ClickBank an affiliate website that deals strictly in digital media. Companies in their first seven years are more likely to be stable. Older companies are reliable.
Information, that’s you need in order to make the right choice. It is helpful when you have already focused your search to a specific interest, which may be the theme of your website (if you already have one).
Merchants can focus their efforts on what they should do best by creating high quality products and getting them to customers. Meanwhile, affiliates concentrate on producing interesting content to attract web traffic. Merchant users are only allowed to upload a limited amount of products via the website. Anyone who wants to do more will need to pay costs for a premium account ($29).
Making money $500 a day online is quite normal and you can get started very quickly if you know the right techniques. Website hosting can be very affordable, and you may be able to build one yourself. Websites with high quality contents with relevant keywords and more importantly, right information about the product and not empty hyped-up advertisements allow you to earn big in affiliate marketing even when you are asleep. If you are not able to sustain the interest of your site visitor, you will not be able to lead him to the merchants.
Consider having multiple profiles for specific purposes, those that potential prospects might be interested in so it can lead up to you marketing your products to them. Write blogs and include the occasional affiliate links if you are an affiliate.
Internet has opened up plethora of marketing options for wannabes. So if you are one of them fiddling with the decision to start affiliate marketing then you are inching towards the right destination. Internet based affiliate marketing also provides great opportunity as well for individuals.
As an affiliate, you do not need to have your own products or services. Internet marketing is growing ever more difficult as the global marketplace expands. As more and more people buy goods and services online, more and more businesses are also scrambling to take their wares to the World Wide Web.
Start earning commission 24 hours a day and 7 days a week now! Start to grow your affiliate network and stabilize that extra income by offering everything that your affiliates need to continue selling your products online. Without affiliate marketing, you are missing potential sales that could be showing up in your income statement as extra profits.

Low Priced Private Medical Insurance Companies in Germany
February 28, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
Are you looking for a cheap private health insurance (PKV) in Germany? Use the free PKV comparison, and find the right private medical insurance offer from the plurality of insurance companies. On the market there are many PKV insurance vendors. Here you can find a free comparison of insurance suppliers and get your personal medical insurance offer: Tarifvergleich Private Krankenkassen
A private medical insurance has different advantages:
You can save charges, if you agree to pay a fixed amount of the yearly medical bills by yourself. This is interesting for healthy people who do not need regular medication. Private patients see the doctors bills and know how much is billed. So you can see how much the different items are. As a private insured, you can control the medical invoices. Before choosing your German private sickness insurance company, you should always ask for several quotes. That can be done online: Privatkassen fuer Selbstaendige. Every German, who is not obliged to be a member of the statutory health insurance (GKV), can join the private health insurance. This applies to civil servants and self-employed persons. In addition to employees, whose salaries are above the GKV insurance limit. The insurance limit is a monthly gross salary of 4012.50 Euros or 48,150 Euros per year in 2008.
Many companies offer the option of making adjustments to the tariff of the active contract. That is very helpful when your personal needs change over time. The PKV usually offers better performance than the statutory health insurance. Private health insurance companies may also pay items, which are not paid by the statutory health insurance. This is dependent on your individual contract. The monthly charges of the private health insurance are only dependent on the individual contract and are not calculated in accordance to your income.
Creating a Raised Bed
February 27, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
If your current planting goals involve plants that require good water drainage, I am sure you know how frustrating it is to have a garden that just will not cooperate. Some plants can handle the excess water that comes about from being in an area that does not drain properly. In fact, it might just cause them to bloom more lushly. However, other plants do not cope as well, and it will cause them to die a gruesome, bloated death. You should always find out about the drainage required for every plant you buy, and make sure that it will not conflict with any of the areas you are considering planting it in.
In order to test how much water your designated patch of soil will retain, dig a hole approximately ten inches deep. Fill it with water, and come back in a day when all the water had disappeared. Fill it back up again. If the 2nd hole full of water is not gone in 10 hours, your soil has a low saturation point. This means that when water soaks into it, it will stick around for a long time before dissipating. This is unacceptable for almost any plant, and you are going to have to do something to remedy it if you want your plants to survive.
The usual method for improving drainage in your garden is to create a raised bed. This involves creating a border for a small bed, and adding enough soil and compost to it to raise it above the rest of the yard by at least 5 inches. You will be amazed at how much your water drainage will be improved by this small modification. If you are planning to build a raised bed, your prospective area is either on grass or on dirt. For each of these situations, you should build it slightly differently.
If you want to start a raised garden in a non grassy area, you will not have much trouble. Just find some sort of border to retain the dirt you will be adding. I have found that there is nothing that works quite as well as a few two by fours. After you have created the wall, you must put in the proper amount soil and steer manure. Depending on how long you plan to wait before planting, you will want to adjust the ratio to allow for any deteriorating that may occur.
If you are trying to install a raised bed where sod already exists, you will have a slightly more difficult time. You will need to cut the sod around the perimeter of the garden, and flip it over. This may sound simple, but you will need something with a very sharp edge to slice the edges of the sod and get under it. Once you have turned it all upside down, it is best to add a layer of straw to discourage the grass from growing back up. After the layer of straw, simply add all the soil and steer manure that a normal garden would need.
Planting your plants in your new area should not pose much difficulty. It is essentially the same process as your usual planting session. Just be sure that the roots do not extent too far into the original ground level. The whole point of creating the raised bed is to keep the roots out of the soil which saturates easily. Having long roots that extend that far completely destroys the point.
Once you have plants in your new bed, you will notice an almost immediate improvement. The added soil facilitates better root development. At the same time, evaporation is prevented and decomposition is discouraged. All of these things added together makes for an ideal environment for almost any plant to grow in. So do not be intimidated by the thought of adjusting the very topography of your yard. It is a simple process as I am sure you have realized, and the long term results are worth every bit of work.
Not Just for Fans, Slot Cars Enduring Toys
February 27, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
An age-old fancy, slot cars remain a family favorite amidst today’s computer games and electronicgame consoles. Running round and round the track in dedicated slots, there’s a thrill in controlling the speed at the turn and maneuvering a toy car zipping around the track.
Whether laid out in an plain oval or in a figure-eight, slot cars attack the turn, with smart controls by the player. This hobby is very absorbing and not limited to boys. The latest slot cars have a very high level of detail and the enthusiast will want to spend as much time on painting the cars.
The other half of the hobby is, of course, the track. Designing the layout of the track is a very engrossing activity. Fans usually start out creating simple oval tracks, and move on to layout more challenging tracks. The concept that the tracks will be placed on top of a table is an added degree of difficulty which fansexpect. It can be said that they welcome it.
Slot cars were first made by Lionel in 1912, and the development and popularity has been developing through the years. The most popular size is the HO, which originally followed scale-model train sizes. To a newcomer, there doesn’t seem to be any difference between recent slot cars and those of fifty years ago. But a closer study would easily show that today’s cars are built to be lighter and more manoeuvrable. And with the development of the digital slot cars during the mid-1990’s slot cars have kept current with technology.
Slot car enthusiasts spend lots of time enjoying this type of toy. Though it has gone beyond being a toy to one of cult status hobby. To a real hobbyist there are still things lots of things which can be done to make the cars run faster, the tracks better and the races more exciting.
Balloons

Introduction
When you think of the word ‘Balloons’ what pictures appear in your mind? Is it simple balloons you blow up for children’s parties, or balloons that fly off on their own, or the special balloons for key events like the ones produced for the wedding of Charles and Diana? There are now so many different types of balloons on the market that you can get almost anything for everything any event you like.
So what exactly is a balloon? One definition defines a balloon as a flexible bag which you fill with air or some other type of gas, such as helium or hydrogen. The early balloons would have been made with non flexible material but modern balloons are made with latex so they have great elasticity and can be pumped up to much larger sizes.
History of Balloons
The earliest known balloons were made in Central and Southern America by the Aztec Indians. They were made out of the bowels of cats which were carefully cleaned then turned inside out. They were sewn with special vegetable thread that had the property of sticking to itself when dried in the sun and creating an almost airtight seal. The balloons were then made into air filled model animals and burned at the top of the Aztec pyramid as an offering to the sun god. (The first example of balloon modelling). A Portuguese priest, Bartolomeu de Gusmao, held the first public exhibition of a balloon in the Portuguese Court in Lisbon in 1709 which was probably made from an animal bladder that stretched when filled with air. The rubber balloon was invented in 1824 by a Michael Faraday and was filled with hydrogen to be used in his experiments with hydrogen. But the familiar latex balloon did not appear until 1847.
The early rubber balloons were sold in America in Parks and Circuses for a penny each. Although the latex balloon was manufactured in London in the mid 1800’s the mass production of them did not appear until much later in 1931.
As technology has become more advanced so has the world of balloons. Now balloons can be made from rubber, latex, polychloroprene or nylon. They can be filled with air, helium, hydrogen or water. Filling the balloon with air can be done with the mouth, a manual pump(such as a hand pump), or electric inflator or with compressed gas. The balloons are used for many differing purposes, and decorated in numerous ways to fit the event.
Some balloons are purely for decoration, others are ideal for specialist functions because of their low density and relatively low cost. The balloon’s properties have led to them being used in a wide range of other applications in the areas of meteorology, military defense, medical treatment, and transportation.
Types of Balloons
Party Balloons
The most common and familiar types of balloons are the party balloons. These are frequently bought in small packets and blown up by mouth to create a festive scene for children’s parties and other kinds of celebratory events where balloons make all the difference. These days I often see a cluster of balloons at the entrance to a house or hall to indicate where the party is being held. The balloons come in many different sizes and colours and can have printing on the face which expands as the balloon is inflated. Party Balloons are mostly made of natural latex tapped from rubber trees. The rubber’s elasticity makes the dimensions variable. Balloons filled with air usually hold their size and shape much longer.
Helium Balloons
Balloons which float upwards are filled with the gas helium which is lighter than air. So for an event where balloons are let off into the atmosphere, they will need to be helium balloons. Helium filled rubber balloons typically only retain their buoyancy for a few days. The enclosed helium atoms are smaller than the pores in the latex through which they escape. To increase the float time of a helium balloon for a week or more, the inside of the balloons can be coated with a special polymer solution to reduce the leakage of the helium.
Water Balloons
The water balloons are often smaller than regular balloons and made from thin rubber so that they can be easily broken. They are filled with water and are intended for children to throw at each other as a game or practical joke with the aim of getting each other soaked. They may also be used in competitions or games.
Foil Balloons
In the late 1970s along came the foil balloon. These are made of thin non-stretch metalized plastic film or mylar. They are much more expensive and made an appearance at the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana causing quite a stir. These balloons have attractive shiny reflective surfaces and can be printed with color pictures, logos and patterns to customize them. The most important property of metalized nylon for balloons is its ability to keep the helium gas from escaping for several weeks because it is less permeable. Foil balloons then have the advantage of being light weight, longer-lasting, with increased buoyancy. They are perfect for parties, in-store decorations, special celebrations and for gifts.
Animal-Shaped Balloons
Metalized nylon balloons can be cut into the three dimensional shapes of animals and then printed to represent the chosen animal. Once inflated the balloons make very bright, decorative items for gifts or may be used as a theme for a special event. Screen printing is used to create the designs for these spectacular pieces.
Balloon Modelling and Balloons in Art
Balloon modelling is a popular entertainment for children and adults alike. A Balloon artist twists and ties inflated tubular balloons into shapes resembling animals or even people. Sometimes they are called balloon sculptures, not to be confused with those cited below. When I have watched these artists at work I have often wondered why the balloons don’t burst when they are working. The reason is that the type of latex used for balloon sculpture is made of extra-stretchy rubber so that they can be twisted and tied without bursting. These tiny tubular balloons are extremely tricky to inflate initially so often a pump is needed to get them started.
Balloon Sculptures
Professional party decorators may use hundreds of helium balloons to create balloon sculptures. These sculptures are often restricted because of the round shape of the balloons to simple arches or walls but on occasion more ambitious “sculptures” have been attempted. Sometimes balloons are used as table decorations for special events which will have 3 or 5 balloons to each bouquet. The decoration will usually include curled ribbon with an added weight to stop the balloons from floating away.
Professional balloon party decorators use electronic equipment to enable the exact amount of helium to fill the balloon. For non-floating balloons air inflators are used. Professional quality balloons differ from most retail packet balloons as they are bigger in size and made from 100% biodegradable latex.
Balloon Drops
I am sure you will have been to a party or dance where at the end of the evening hundreds of balloons fall from the ceiling to mingle amongst the participants. This is known as a balloon drop and is often performed at New Year’s Eve celebrations or at political rallies and conventions. It is a relatively low cost way of creating a festive atmosphere at the party climax, so everyone goes away feeling they have had a really good time.
If you want to create a balloon drop for your own event you will need to set up a large plastic bag or net overhead, which is suspended at a certain height. This is then filled with air-inflated balloons so that they will fall onto the target area below when the balloons are released. You will also need to create a mechanism for releasing the balloons. Balloon drops may also be performed at many celebrations, including graduations and weddings.
Balloon Rockets
As a child I am sure you played the game of blowing up a balloon then letting it go while watching it speed around the room making a rude noise with everyone falling about laughing. These are called balloon rockets and I remember being fascinated and wondering how they worked. When the mouth of the balloon is released, the greater pressure of air inside forces its way out and the elasticity of the balloon contracts causing the balloon to be propelled forward. This is fundamentally how a rocket works. The balloon can also be filled with gases other than air, with similar results. Besides being simple toys, balloon rockets are a widely used teaching device to demonstrate physical principles and the functioning of a rocket. The balloon rocket is often used to demonstrate Newton’s third law in physics.
Balloon Publicity
Balloons releases or races are often used for Publicity at major events as well as for fund raising or raising awareness, where a company logo or message is printed onto the balloons.
Balloon Releases
In Australia they had a fund raising event on 18th April for Make-A-Wish Day. The 5,000 released balloons make a spectacular sight as they rise across the bay marking the number of wishes granted since 1985.
If you are planning a balloon release or race of more than 5,000 balloons, it is a requirement that you apply in writing for permission to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at least 28 days in advance. The CAA also like to be informed of balloon releases up to 5,000. A form can be obtained by calling either the NABAS office on 01989 762 204 or the Airspace Utilisation Section of the CAA on 020 7453 6599
Because of concerns about the bearing on the environment of large numbers of balloons being released, the NABAS - The Balloon Association have produced a code of conduct which can be found on their website at www.nabas.co.uk
Safety and Environmental Concerns
Balloons are made of natural rubber latex (NRL) which is a natural product coming from rubber trees that are grown in certain areas of the tropics. These are not trees that are cut down to produce the NRL. The NRL is obtained by tapping from mature trees and is a sustainable crop providing employment for many agricultural workers in some of the poorest areas of the world.
As a consequence of NRL cultivation and the consumption of latex products, the planting and maintenance of rubber tree plantations helps towards the prevention of tropical rainforest deforestation. This contributes significantly to the removal of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, produced by industrialised nations and a major source of global warming.
Research shows that latex balloons which are completely natural coming from the Hevea tree degrade faster than oak leaves. Oxidation occurs first in the breakdown of latex and it begins within an hour of a balloon being inflated. As the decaying process is by natural exposure nutrients are released into the soil. Most balloons used in releases today are made of bio-degradable latex.
An estimated 90/95% of balloons released rise to an altitude of 5 miles, at which height the cold will cause the balloon to become brittle and shatter into miniscule pieces. The small fragments then floating back to earth to degrade in the ground. Balloon fragments are unlikely to cause harm if accidentally ingested. This is because latex and the dyes used in latex colouring are non-toxic.
Printed latex balloons are a fantastic, low-cost and environmentally friendly way of advertising at promotions and events. All latex balloons supplied by B-Loony, the UK’s largest printed balloon manufacturer, are completely biodegradable. The code of conduct produced by NABAS for balloon releases gives advice to ensure the protection of our environment.
Manufacture of Balloons
Balloons are manufactured by their millions every day in many countries. The rubber is collected as liquid from a rubber tree and then sent to the factories where the liquid goes through a series of treatment processes. These processes include shaping and colouring operations and testing for quality. The end products are thousands balloons which provide a splash of colour and party atmosphere at celebrations and conferences or any event where a large number of people gather.
Conclusion
Toy balloons have been a source of pleasure and excitement throughout the world for many years. They have provided hours of entertainment and interest for children as well as being an educational resource. Non toy Balloons are being used for science, medicine and travel and are invaluable in helping us to learn about our world. Balloons I am sure will remain very alive and active on the world’s scene for many years to come.
I’ve found the best Dallas Personal Trainer
February 27, 2009 by Kris · Leave a Comment
I just wanted to say basically why it is I really like Lady Trainers To Go and their all female in home personal trainer service. First off, my Dallas personal trainer is just absolutely awesome. The other thing is I really do enjoy the convenience of having someone come into my home. I don’t have a personal gym at home and what’s really great is my Dallas personal trainer brings all the equipment with her that we need for a workout. I don’t have to provide anything. No more gyms fee’s, fighting traffic or waiting in line for equipment. She just show’s up at my door on time and off we go, another great workout.
Having a Dallas personal trainer come to my home also provides a lot of flexibility. Weather we’re doing it indoors or we decide to do it outside; it’s really great. She’s constantly looking for ways to change things up to make our workouts a little more difficult. It’s great, it’s just hard for me to believe I can get a great workout from my home, but I am and I love it.
One of the best things about Lady Trainers To Go is they found a trainer for me that was my age an can relate to the types of “female” issues in a way that no male trainer I’ve ever had could.
I would recommend Lady Trainers To Go to family, friends or anyone that needs to exercise but just doesn’t have the time. They have a great video on there website that helped me understand why they’re so different from trainers I’ve had in the past, you should check it out on their Dallas personal trainer page.
